Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Wes Helms' long single off the right- field wall knocked in the go-ahead run, as the Philadelphia Phillies rallied for a six-run eighth inning and beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-6, in the opener of a four-game series at Citizens Bank Park.
Trailing 6-2, the Phillies sent 11 batters to the plate in the eighth. Aaron Rowand started things with a base hit off reliever Brian Shouse, and Shane Victorino followed with a double to put runners on second and third. Derrick Turbow (1-1) replaced Shouse, and promptly walked Jimmy Rollins before uncorking a wild pitch that scored Rowand and moved the runners.
