Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks announced that center Erick Dampier underwent successful shoulder surgery to repair a small tear in his right rotator cuff.The surgery was performed in Dallas by Dr. Richard Levy and no timetable was set for the veteran's return. Dampier is expected to begin rehabilitation in about one week.
The 7-foot-1 Dampier averaged 7.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in 76 games for Dallas last season.
