East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets signed first-round draft pick Sean Williams on Monday.Terms of the deal for the troubled forward were not released.
Williams was the 17th overall pick in the most recent NBA Draft. The 6-foot-10 forward played 69 games in three seasons at Boston College, leading the team in blocks each season.
As a junior in 2006-07, he played in and started 15 games, averaging 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.0 blocks, while setting a school record with 75 blocks.
He was dismissed from the team for continuous violations of team rules, causing his draft stock to drop.
