Baseball: Orioles top Blue Jays in Hall of Fame Game

Cooperstown, NY (Sports Network) - Brian Bock hit a pair of homers and finished with five RBI, as the Baltimore Orioles outslugged the Toronto Blue Jays, 13-7, in the annual Hall of Fame game at Doubleday Field.

Bock was one of several players called up from the minor leagues for the game. He finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Pete Maestrales went 3-for-3 with a homer and three runs scored, while Aubrey Huff and Blake Davis also went deep in the win.

Pitching prospect Brandon Erbe tossed four shutout innings, allowing four hits while striking out six and walking none in a winning effort.

Tomo Ohka was tagged with the loss after allowing three runs on six hits over three frames.

John Ford Griffin belted a three-run homer while both Balbino Fuenmayor and Howie Clark added two-run shots for Toronto.

The Blue Jays put up three runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to slice their deficit to one, but Baltimore responded with six runs in the home- half of the seventh to help secure the win.

The Hall of Fame Game between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh was rained out last season. This was the fifth consecutive year the game was not played during the Hall of Fame weekend.
