MLB: Bonderman returns to mound for Tigers
Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Detroit Tigers right-hander Jeremy Bonderman was activated from the 15-day disabled list Thursday, and will toe the rubber for Detroit's afternoon game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The 24-year-old starter has missed more than two weeks with a blister on his right middle finger. Bonderman was off to a good, albeit unlucky, start this season, going 2-0 with a 4.20 ERA with five no-decisions. Bonderman only allowed more than three runs in one of those no-decisions, and twice allowed only a single run, yet failed to pick up the win.
The Tigers had opened a roster spot for Bonderman by optioning rookie left-hander Andrew Miller to Double-A Erie on Tuesday.
