MLB: Carmona, Indians baffle Twins
Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Fausto Carmona baffled the Twins, hurling a four-hit shutout to outpitch Johan Santana as the Cleveland Indians edged the Minnesota Twins, 2-0, to complete a three-game sweep.
Victor Martinez and Ryan Garko ripped back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning off of Santana, and that was all the offense the Indians would need to win their fourth out of five. Carmona (5-1) struck out four and walked two, needing 121 pitches, 76 of them strikes, to earn his fifth straight win.
