MLB: Rangers recall Koronka; place Hairston on DL

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers recalled pitcher John Koronka and placed infielder/outfielder Jerry Hairston Jr. on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.

Koronka will be the starting pitcher for the Rangers today at Houston. This will be his first major league start in 2007.

Hairston is suffering from a pinched nerve in his neck. His move is retroactive to May 17th. He has appeared in 23 games this season and is batting .234 with one home run and three RBI.
