NHL: Sens blank Sabres for 3-0 series lead
Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - The Ottawa Senators are now just one win away their first Stanley Cup finals berth in team history. Daniel Alfredsson scored the lone goal of the game in the second period and Ottawa suffocated the potent Buffalo offense to win, 1-0, and take a commanding lead in the Eastern Conference finals.
Ray Emery needed to make just 15 saves for his third shutout of the playoffs for the Senators, who are up 3-0 in the series and will go for the sweep on Wednesday.
