MLB: Nats re-acquire Speigner from Twins
 Washington,  DC  (Sports Network) -  The Washington Nationals have re-acquired  pitcher  Levale  Speigner from the  Minnesota Twins in exchange for outfielder  Darnell McDonald.
Washington,  DC  (Sports Network) -  The Washington Nationals have re-acquired  pitcher  Levale  Speigner from the  Minnesota Twins in exchange for outfielder  Darnell McDonald.
Speigner  was selected by the Nationals from Minnesota in the Rule 5 draft and  was  2-3  with an 8.78  earned run average in  19 games, including six starts,  this season before Washington designated him for assignment on June 19.
The  Nationals  had to  offer the 26-year-old  right-hander back to Minnesota,  which accepted and worked out a deal to send him back to Washington.
Speigner will be assigned to Triple-A Columbus.
McDonald,  who signed  with  Washington  as a  minor  league  free agent  last  November, was hitting .315 with two homers and 41 runs batted in for Columbus.
