Vickers disqualified after qualifying
Loudon, NH (Sports Network) - After qualifying 28th in Friday's Nextel Cup qualifying session, Brian Vickers' No.83 Toyota was disqualified for having a ride height below minimum.
NASCAR allows a quarter-inch tolerance on ride heights but the Toyota was an eighth-of-an-inch below that.
"All the non-top-35 cars go back through inspection," said crew chief Doug Richert. "When we went through, we found the front end of the car didn't meet their minimum height."
The disqualification puts Chad Chaffin into the field at the New Hampshire International Speedway and he will start 43rd for Sunday's Lenox Industrial Tools 300.
