WNBA: Monarchs lose forward Walker for season
Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Sacramento Monarchs forward DeMya Walker will be out the remainder of the season after suffering a torn patellar tendon in her right knee.
An MRI taken also confirmed a sprain to her MCL in the same knee, and she'll undergo surgery in the future.
Walker, who suffered her injury in Saturday's 88-85 win over the Los Angeles Sparks, started all five of the Monarchs games this season and averaged 8.8 points and five rebounds in 21 minutes per game.
