Artest, Jackson suspended seven games
New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Basketball League suspended Sacramento's Ron Artest and Golden State's Stephen Jackson seven games without pay each for their recent off-the-court troubles with the law.
Jackson was suspended for pleading guilty to criminal recklessness, in violation of the law of the State of Indiana.
Ron Artest was suspended without pay for seven games for pleading nolo contendre to infliction of injury on a spouse, in violation of the law of the State of California.
Both suspensions will commence with the first game of the 2007-08 NBA regular season.
