Suns set to sign Hill
Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Injury-plagued star Grant Hill has reportedly agreed to sign with the Phoenix Suns.
According to a report in the Orlando Sentinel, Hill will join the Suns for the $1.2 million veteran's exception.
The swingman's seven-year, $93 million contract with the Orlando Magic expired after the past season, in which he averaged 14.4 points per game and played in 65 games -- his most since playing 67 in the 2004-05 season.
The 6-foot-8, seven-time All-Star originally arrived in the Magic Kingdom during the summer of 2000 with high expectations. But, he underwent five surgeries on his left ankle and played in just 202 regular season games during his stay.
In 635 career games -- with Detroit and Orlando -- Hill has averaged 20 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
