Robredo, Canas, Murray charge into Metz semis
 Metz,   France  (Sports   Network)  - Top-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo, second-seeded Argentine Guillermo Canas and third-seeded Brit Andy Murray led the charge into the semifinals at the $500,000 Open de Moselle indoor tennis event.
Metz,   France  (Sports   Network)  - Top-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo, second-seeded Argentine Guillermo Canas and third-seeded Brit Andy Murray led the charge into the semifinals at the $500,000 Open de Moselle indoor tennis event.
Robredo rolled past veteran French crowd favorite Sebastien Grosjean 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour, 24 minutes. The Spaniard will meet another Frenchman, Nicolas Mahut, in Saturday's semis.
Canas handled 19-year-old Russian qualifier Evgeny Korolev 6-1, 6-4, while Murray mauled Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-3, 6-3 on the hardcourt at Les Arenes. Canas dropped just three points on his first serve against the promising Korolev.
The  gritty  Canas and  talented Murray  will face-off  in the other semifinal  here.
One other quarterfinal bout saw the aforementioned Mahut oust eighth-seeded Russian Igor Andreev in come-from-behind fashion, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-1).
