ATP: Injured Fish will miss French Open
Dusseldorf, Germany (Sports Network) - American Mardy Fish pulled out of the 2007 French Open on Thursday, citing a foot injury.
Fish sustained the injury while kicking a football, as he and his American teammates were visiting the Rhein Fire club of NFL Europa. The world No. 31 player sprained some ligaments in the foot while attempting to kick a field goal.
The 25-year-old Fish pulled out of his scheduled singles match Thursday at the ATP World Team event in Dusseldorf.
The French Open will commence Sunday in Paris.
