Bundesliga: Hargreaves to leave Bayern, most likely for United

Munich, Germany (Sports Network) - Bayern Munich confirmed on Sunday that midfielder Owen Hargreaves is leaving the club, and it will most likely be to sign with Premiership champions Manchester United.
The 26-year-old Hargreaves has been a target of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson for about a year now, but the German club has always refused to sell.
"Owen is leaving. That was the player's wish," Bayern club president Franz Beckenbauer told a German TV station. "It's a good match and it's also a good deal financially."
Hargreaves has been with the German giants for 10 years, and Beckenbauer cited the player's personal desire to move on as the reason he will be leaving Munich.
Although Beckenbauer did not confirm media reports that Manchester United is the destination for Hargreaves, he did say "It's in that range," when asked about an estimated $33.6 million transfer fee from the English club.
Published reports have indicated that Hargreaves is expected to sign a four- year contract with United, and he would certainly be a welcome addition in the center of the midfield along with current United midfielders Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes.
