LPGA Tour: Ochoa repeats as Sybase champion
Clifton, NJ (Sports Network) - Lorena Ochoa fought off a strong challenge from Sarah Lee to repeat as champion at the Sybase Classic on Sunday.
Ochoa closed with a four-under 68 to claim her 11th LPGA Tour title at 18- under-par 270. Her total of 270 bests the 72-hole scoring record by three strokes. Betsy King set the old mark of 273 in 1990 when the event was held in New Rochelle, New York.
Sarah Lee owned a piece of the lead after each of the first three rounds, but closed with a one-over 73, including a bogey at the last, to take second at 15-under-par 273.
Se Ri Pak finished alone in third at minus-nine after a final-round 66, while Juli Inkster and Brittany Lang shared fourth place at eight-under-par 280 at Upper Montclair Country Club.
