MLB: Germano, Padres sink Mariners

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Justin Germano had another brilliant start as he gave up just one unearned run in six innings of work to help the San Diego Padres to a 2-1 win over the Seattle Mariners in the conclusion of a three- game interleague set at Safeco Field.

Germano (2-0) was charged with just six hits and in his three starts this season has yielded just two runs in 19 innings for the Padres, who have won three of their last four contests. Germano's earned-run average is now a miniscule 0.47.

Adrian Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored while Josh Bard drove in the other run for San Diego.

Jose Lopez drove in the lone run while Felix Hernandez (2-2) was handed the loss for giving up two runs on eight hits in five innings of work for the Mariners, who have lost four of five.
