MLB: Haren helps Athletics down Rangers

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Dan Haren continued his impressive start to the season, pitching eight solid innings to lead Oakland past Texas, 6-1, in the finale of a three-game set.

Haren (6-2) scattered four hits and gave up just one run to extend his string of consecutive winning decisions to six. Haren, who retired 11 batters at one point and didn't give up a hit after Frank Catalanotto led off the fourth with a single, lowered his American League-leading ERA to 1.64.
