MLB: Marlins place Nolasco on DL again
St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - The Florida Marlins on Saturday placed right-handed pitcher Ricky Nolasco on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation. The move is retroactive to May 18.
Nolasco, who was already placed on the DL once this season with the same ailment, is 1-2 with a 5.48 earned-run average in five starts.
To fill his roster spot, the Marlins selected the contract of pitcher Justin Miller from Albuquerque (PCL).
In related move, the club transferred pitcher Jose Garcia to the 60-day disabled list.
