NBA: Nets' Boone undergoes successful surgery
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - New Jersey Nets forward Josh Boone underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday to repair torn cartilage in his right knee.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Riley Williams III at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. Boone, who will start rehab immediately, is expected to be ready for training camp in October.
Boone averaged 4.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 61 games for the Nets last year. The 6-10 Boone was the 23rd overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.
