NHL: Ducks grab 2-0 series lead over Sens

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Samuel Pahlsson scored the lone goal of the game with less than six minutes remaining, as the Anaheim Ducks assumed a 2-0 series lead with a 1-0 victory over Ottawa in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals at the Honda Center.
The story for most of the game was Senators netminder Ray Emery, who was assaulted all evening by an array of Anaheim shots but would not cave in.
That was, until Pahlsson created a turnover in the neutral zone, and turned it into the eventual game-winning goal.
After gaining control of the puck, Pahlsson flew into the Ottawa zone with a full head of steam before hitting the breaks once inside the right circle. From there, he feathered a shot through a defender's legs that beat Emery stick side with 5:44 on the clock.
The Ducks put forth one last surge and skated 6-on-5 in the closing seconds with Emery pulled, but could not net the equalizer.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere pitched a shutout by stopping all 16 shots he faced, while Emery finished with 30 saves in a losing effort.
The best-of-seven series shifts to Ottawa for Games 3 and 4. The teams will meet at Scotiabank Place for the third meeting of this series on Saturday evening.
