WNBA: Shock stay hot, down Mystics

Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Swin Cash netted 21 points, as the Detroit Shock downed the Washington Mystics, 94-79.
Katie Smith and Plenette Pierson each added 14 for the defending WNBA-champion Shock, who overcame 24 turnovers to win their third straight.
Delisha Milton-Jones scored 18 points for the Mysticsz who lost their fourth straight. Alana Beard netted 16 points, while Monique Currie, acquired earlier in the week from Chicago, added five points in her first game wearing a Mystics uniform.
Detroit held a 45-36 lead at halftime, thanks to notching 17 assists to Washington's five.
The Mystics started to rally in the third, after the Shock turned the ball over three times in less than a minute, but Deanna Nolan and Smith drilled three-pointers down the stretch for a 66-59 Detroit lead heading into the fourth.
