WTA: Golovin pulls out of Roland Garros

Paris, France (Sports Network) - French favorite Tatiana Golovin pulled out of the 2007 French Open on Wednesday, citing a right foot injury.

The 17th-ranked Golovin, a native of Russia who plays under the French flag, suffered the injury while playing Fed Cup tennis for France last month.

China's Shuai Peng, ranked 32nd in the world, also announced her withdrawal from the year's second Grand Slam event. She is sidelined with a left ankle injury.

The '07 French Open will commence Sunday in Paris. Justine Henin is the two-time defending ladies' champion at the world's most prestigious clay-court tournament.
