PGA Tour: Johnson downs Imada in AT&T Classic playoff
Duluth, GA (Sports Network) - Zach Johnson fired a five-under 67 Sunday to force a playoff with Ryuji Imada at the AT&T Classic.
Imada two-putted for birdie on the 72nd hole to join Johnson at 15-under-par 273.
At the par-five 18th in the playoff, Imada found the left rough off the tee. Johnson, meanwhile, hit a big drive down the fairway.
Imada tried to force a shot from the rough onto the green, but he tugged his approach left and into the water. Johnson calmly knocked his second onto the putting surface. Imada pitched on with his fourth, but never hit his par putt.
Johnson had lengthy eagle putt and rolled it within inches of the hole. He kicked in his birdie putt for his third win, all of which have come in the state of Georgia.
He also won here at the TPC Sugarloaf in 2004 and claimed his first major earlier this season at The Masters in Augusta.
